Customer Review Integrity & Verification Policy

KA Designs LLC ("KA Designs," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to publishing authentic, experience‑based feedback that helps practitioners make informed decisions. This policy explains how we verify, display, moderate, and disclose customer reviews across controlrings.com and our affiliated channels.


1. Purpose & Scope

This policy governs all product reviews, star ratings, testimonials, and user‑generated comments that appear on our websites, social media accounts, and marketing materials. It applies to:

  • Customers who submit feedback directly to KA Designs.

  • Affiliates, influencers, and clinical partners who share testimonials.

  • Third‑party platforms that syndicate or embed our reviews.

2. Verification Methods & Review Platforms

We currently collect reviews through two integrated platforms that are directly linked to our Shopify storefront. Both employ order‑ID matching, anti‑fraud algorithms, and manual validation options to ensure that only authentic customer experiences are published.

  1. Judge.me – Text & Star Reviews   

    • Auto Order Match: Every review submission is automatically cross‑checked against the related Shopify order ID. If the IDs match, the review displays the Verified Buyer ✅ badge.

    • Fraud Shield: Judge.me’s fraud detection filters flag suspicious patterns (IP mismatches, rapid review bursts, duplicate content) for manual review.

    • Manual Proof‑of‑Purchase: For offline or wholesale customers, we request a dated invoice or batch‑number photo before approval.

  2. Loox – Photo & Video Reviews   

    • Media Verification: Loox requires reviewers to submit media directly through the post‑purchase email linked to their order, ensuring the content is tied to a real transaction.

    • Shopify Order Sync: Loox attaches the Shopify order ID to each review and assigns the Verified Buyer ✅ badge when the match is confirmed.

    • Content Moderation: Loox’s AI filters flag inappropriate or stock imagery. Flagged reviews are held for manual approval.

  3. Re‑verification & Audits   

    • Quarterly audits cross‑reference Judge.me and Loox logs against Shopify order data to spot anomalies.

    • Any review found to be unverifiable after publication is removed, and the reviewer is notified.

✅ Verified Buyer Review matched to a Shopify order ID or manually verified proof of purchase.
– (no badge) Review not yet verified; will not appear publicly until verification is complete.

Unverified reviews are never displayed.

4. Moderation Standards

We do not alter star ratings or remove critical feedback. We reserve the right to reject or redact reviews only when they contain:

  • Profanity, hate speech, threats, or harassment.

  • Protected Health Information (PHI) or personally identifying details about patients.

  • Defamatory, obscene, or illegal content.

  • Commercial spam or links to competitors.

Each rejected or edited review is logged internally with the date, reviewer name/ID, reason for action, and a screenshot of the original content. Logs are retained for five (5) years.

5. Incentivized & Sponsored Reviews

In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides (2023) and the Consumer Reviews & Testimonials Rule (2024):

  • Any reviewer who receives compensation (financial, product gifts, discounts, or affiliate commissions) must clearly disclose this relationship in the review text (e.g., “Gifted by KA Designs,” “#KADEPartner,” “Ad”).

  • Compensated reviews never influence star ratings or moderation decisions.

  • Failure to disclose may result in the review’s removal until full disclosure is provided.

6. Reporting Fake or Misleading Reviews

Consumers, practitioners, and researchers may report suspicious reviews by:

  • Clicking the “Flag this review” link displayed beneath each review, or

  • Emailing info@controlrings.com with the subject line “Review Inquiry.”

We acknowledge all reports within 48 hours and complete investigations within 10 business days. Confirmed fake reviews are removed immediately, and repetitive abuse may result in legal action.

7. Policy Updates & Version Control

We may amend this policy to reflect operational changes or legal requirements. The “Revision” header at the top of the document lists the effective version and date. Archived versions are available upon request by emailing info@controlrings.com

9. Rights Granted & Use of User‑Generated Content

By submitting any review, testimonial, photo, video, or other user‑generated content ("UGC") to KA Designs, you grant KA Designs LLC a non‑exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty‑free license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, and display such content— in whole or in part—across our websites, social channels, trainings, advertising, and other marketing materials.

  • Ownership: You retain ownership of your UGC. This license enables KA Designs to showcase your content while crediting you where feasible.

  • No Compensation: Submission of UGC is voluntary and does not entitle you to compensation, unless expressly agreed in writing.

  • Right of Withdrawal: If you later wish to revoke permission, email info@controlrings.com with links or screenshots of the content you want removed. We will remove it within 30 days where commercially reasonable.

  • Patient Privacy: UGC that depicts patients must have their explicit, written consent. Any submission containing Protected Health Information (PHI) will be redacted or rejected per Section 4.

  • Moral Standards: KA Designs may decline to use UGC that conflicts with our brand values or applicable laws.

10. Declaration of Authenticity & Validity

KA Designs warrants that every piece of user‑generated content (UGC) displayed on our websites, social channels, or marketing materials has passed the verification procedures outlined in Sections 2–4. We do not publish fabricated, AI‑generated, or stock imagery represented as genuine customer experience. Where text or media are edited for brevity or clarity, we ensure the substantive meaning remains unchanged. Should any UGC be found non‑compliant after publication, it will be removed within 48 hours and logged per Section 4.


By submitting a review or testimonial to KA Designs, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth in this Customer Review Integrity & Verification Policy.
