Our Story ❤️
KADE started with a challenge that hit close to home. Alyssa, an ER nurse turned aesthetic injector, struggled with one-handed aspiration due to a boxer's fracture—a condition that made her work as an injector more complex. Determined to help, David, her partner in life and business, set out to design a solution that would address her unique needs.
Our backgrounds as professionals shaped our approach, but it was our roots as artists and creatives that defined it. Alyssa, a painter, and David, a drummer, both understand that tools should never stand in the way of creativity. For Alyssa, painting demands precision, fluidity, and control—tools that feel like a natural extension of her hand. For David, drumming requires interfacing with complex machinery to bring sound to life. If those tools aren’t seamless, they stifle creativity.
This perspective became the foundation of our design philosophy. David approached the creation of the Control Ring as both an engineer and a musician, ensuring it was not just functional but intuitive and unobtrusive—allowing injectors to fully focus on their craft. Alyssa’s expertise and direct feedback shaped every aspect of the Control Ring’s design, ensuring it met the real-world demands of injectors while empowering them to deliver their best work.
The turning point came when we shared the Control Ring with our local injector community. The response was immediate and overwhelmingly positive. Injectors recognized its potential and shared invaluable feedback that inspired us to bring the Control Ring to a broader audience. What began as a personal solution became a shared mission to deliver tools that injectors can trust.
